To do the rename, you may need to kill any Apple processes that have a lock on the folder. says December 9, 2011 at 2:33 pm Bill Payne's suggestion worked like a charm for me AFTER I first closed/stopped (in Task Manager, under "Processes") the "syncserver.exe" file. Renaming theSyncServices folder found at C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\AppleComputer to SyncServices_Old worked like a charm.
